The Safari Family
We met in October 2017 in Botswana, where Julien was working as a safari guide trainer. Isabelle had had enough of the financial world and decided to step way outside her comfort zone — she signed up for a safari guide training course. We became friends, stayed in touch over the years, and in November 2021 finally met again for something like a first date, back in Botswana. A few months later, we knew.
It's been quite a ride since then. In 2023 we welcomed our son Luan into the world, and not long after, our second little adventurer, Yanoh, joined the family too. These days home is a moving target — Switzerland, Kenya, Botswana — but wherever we land, the four of us make it work.
Our mission is simple: share and care. Share our love for this continent, our passion for the wild, and our respect for the people who protect it. We evolved alongside this land, and we believe we owe it — our children, and theirs — the responsibility to conserve what's left of it. This is our one and only home, and we want to help others fall in love with it too, whether that's through a safari with us, through Isabelle's book on her own journey into this world, or simply through the stories we share here.

Isabelle was born and raised in the Swiss mountains. She started her career in finance before realising she was an entrepreneur at heart, going on to build several ventures — from marketing and finance to safari companies in Botswana and beyond, including Lerato Adventures and the Kwatale Collection camp project in the Okavango Delta. She wrote about that journey in her book, Einfach Safari. Above all, she loves sharing her love of the African wilderness with others.

Julien was born and raised in Kenya and has spent most of his life on the continent. A professional safari guide and guide trainer, he's had the incredible luck of exploring some of Africa's most extraordinary corners — and turned his love of sharing that with others into his life's work. He now trains guides and takes travellers on safaris of a lifetime.
Two small humans, already logging serious hours in the bush — and enjoying every last bit of it.
